Dr. Kavuma is an Economist with wide experience in policy research and analysis and lecturing university students. She is a Research Associate at ACODE attached to the Centre for Budget and Economic Governance that undertakes research activities on budget monitoring and economic governance in Uganda. Susan holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Nottingham (2015), which she attained as a commonwealth scholar. In addition, she holds a Master of Arts Degree in Economic Policy Management and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Makerere University. Since 2006, Susan has taught undergraduate and graduate students at Makerere University in various economics modules. Susan's research interests are in the areas of: economic governance, labour, education and health economics.
