High-Level Policy Dialogue on National Development Strategy
About the Dialogue
The high-level policy dialogue on national development strategy organised in partnership with the Ministry of Fiance, Planning and Economic Development and the Civil Society Budget Advocacy Group. The dialogue will examine Uganda's development strategy and identify priority areas for transforming the economy.
The dialogue will largely focus on areas that could catalyze economic development over the next ten years. The discussions will focus on Domestic Resource Mobilization in a Digital era; Rural development strategies' skills and job creation; climate change mitigation and adaptation as well as regional trade and integration.
The dialogue will involve a keynote presentation on a critique of the National Development Pan III (NDPIII) strategic direction, panel and plenary discussions. Admission to the dialogue will be by invitation only, with the proceedings being relayed live on various media platformsincluding radio, television and the internet. The presenters and panelists will be drawn from the entire spectrum of stakeholders including Government agencies, Parliament, donor representatives, Academia and Civil Society among others.
The overall objective of the dialogue is to examine Uganda's development strategy and identify catalysts for transforming the economy
