Mr. Ngubwagye is a Senior Research Fellow under the Environment and Natural Resources Governance Programme. He is part of the Oil Governance and Environmental Sustainability in Uganda (OGESU) project team. He also offers research and administrative support to other projects and programmes. He is passionate about applied research especially in the area of natural resources. He has amassed more than 10 years of experience in research and project management in a wide range of fields which include environmental and social impact assessments, Climate change, water resources management, sustainable wildlife management, Geographical Information Systems, among others. Before joining ACODE, Mr. Ngubwagye previously worked as an environmentalist at Total E&P where he was coordinating the implementation of laws, regulations, standards and industry's best practices in the management of environmental and social impacts of oil and gas operations. He has also conducted a number of consultancies for several local and international organizations and government Agencies. He has published a number of articles in peer reviewed journals, environmental and social impact statements and other technical reports. He holds a MSc. in Environment and Natural Resources and a BSc. in Wildlife Health and Management from Makerere University.
